check out the link on my signature to get your go fast parts and make your goal of 300whp.... fuel pump is for when you want to run more boost safetly... its highly recomended by many tuners... good luck

You will get a nice power increase with a TBE alone on a 05. Even without the flash. You can always add a pump and a flash later if you want to.

thanks i may do just that... i have a TBE on the way and may just hold off until the summer for the pump and flash after doing a little more research... is it better sending off the ECU to say dynoflash to have them flash or is it just as good getting a cable and flashing the ECU myself with say a jestr tune?

+1
and with just a TBE, panel filter, flash, and 22psi you will be fine on a stock IX fuel pump. Thats been my exact setup for the last year, but now that I am putting in cams I am adding a walbro 255 kit.. if you do add a walbro pump get it in the kit (only about $10-15 more) versus just the pump.

It's cheaper to flash the ecu yourself, and it's easy. Either of the tuners you mentioned can email you the tune. You'll get the most power from the tbe. The flash will add a little more. I ran the tbe alone for almost a year before adding the pump and the flash.

i would suggest looking at Stage kit(Ex. Buschur/AMS). We probably have something in common where we dont want do go all the way with the mods.

Here's an example that you will need to start with. it Buschur's Stage 1 kit and its what ive been saving up for.

BR EVOLUTION AIR FILTER KIT, BR EVOLUTION 3" STAINLESS STEEL DOWNPIPE, 3" HIGHFLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER, BR EVOLUTION 3" STAINLESS STEEL CATBACK W/ A BUSCHUR RACING STAINLESS STEEL BULLET MUFFLER, BR MANUAL BOOST CONTROLLER, BUSCHUR FLASH ( SAFC II W/ BR SPECIFIC SETTINGS CAN BE SUBSTITUTED FOR FLASH), AUTOMETER 30-0-30 BOOST GAUGE, COLUMN MOUNT GAUGE POD.

https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...0b59f663430697

i think AMS stage 1 kit has fuel pump. i need to check again with that.

I would definetly get the fuel pump no questions asked (worth the $100 for your 30k car) ! I know if you get a flash from Al he'll ask if you have one and he'll highly recommend installing one if you don't! Good luck.

You need a FP if you ever decide to boost beyond stock taper alone, 100% stock -no need for FP

FP needs tuning

TBE, Intake, and tune alone won't give you 300whp unless high boost and a IX - racegas tune

are you saying i'd only need a fuel pump if i get a boost controller and go above stock boost? so a TBE with stock boost would be fine w/ the stock pump?

Bah. I'm in the minority.

I have TBE, Headers, Boost controller and reflash. No FP here.. and car made damn near 300whp on 91 oct.
