Boost Pressure??

Hey Guys,

I recently switched from an Autometer Mechanical Boost Gauge to a Prosport Electronic Boost Gauge, and my boost pressure is now reading about 5-6 PSI lower. My boost should be set to 21PSI per my tune from Al of Dynoflash.
Is their a test of some sort to find out how much boost I'm actually running??

Also ... what is the size of the Hotside on a stock 2005 Evo VIII?? Is it the same as the 10.5 Hotside on the MR's??

Thanks,
Nick

Check for boost leaks at the sender for the electric gauge and anywhere else in the system

Did you remove any restrictor pills from the stock boost hoses? Are you still running the stock boost control system?

Short of a MAP sensor with a display ala Zeitronix a gauge is really the best you've got.

the standard viii 10.5 hotside is a dual flapper design I believe while the mr is a single flapper but either way size wise they are the same
