Lower IC pipe Problem HELP!

My lower intercooler pipe blew open yesterday. I have a greddy intercooler with the greddy piping connected to the stock black kind of liek fabric lined piping. They came apart so i was like no biggie ill just put it back on. I latched them together and screwed the mount tight. i drove for 5 minutes. The car drives absolutely flawlessly, then all of a sudden out of no where BOOM itll blow itself open again. The piping is a little short and only has a little less than an inch of overlapping is this why it keeps blowing? Or is something else wrong? Once the pipe blows my maf freaks out and the car wont go past 1500 rpm and sputters like mad.

Well that happens when it blows off. What kind of clamps are you using? Try switching to a silicone coupler and T-clamps

make sure you clamps are on the piping all the way.

Also if its that short you might want to invest in a new coupler.

Make sure you clamps are not damaged

Are the pipes bead rolled?
