anyone running stock clutch on evogreen?

Is anyone still running the stock clutch on 20G-LT?

If you were to run this turbo on the pump gas with the stock clutch, would it overpower it?

I need to find another hobby to spent money on

Just wondering as the parts that I ordered last time will definitely max out the stock turbo and this is the next "logical" step - but only if I dont have to upgrade a bunch of parts like clutch and rods...

I am running the stock clutch with my untuned FPGreen. The car won't be tuned until next weekend so I have not been able to get on it yet. I think that if the clutch is in good shape it will last a while even with this turbo though.

I'm also sure that after some serious or very hard launching it will definitely need to be replaced at some point. I've always been lucky with clutches as far as wear goes.

I currently have almost 21K miles on my 2006 IX MR and the clutch is just fine so far. We'll see how it does in a week...

might pm you in a couple of weeks to see what kind of results you get. as far as spool goes, how much difference is there in the first two gears between the LT and stock turbo?

I have the green and 19k mile stock clutch. The clutch doesn't hold on a load dyno on pump gas but it holds on the street fine. First and second gear spins the stock advans, not the clutch though. The first time it happened i thought it was the clutch till the car goes sideways.

I have had the green on for about 1000 miles. I have never lauched the car from a dig though. I hope this helped.

On my 20gLT the clutch holds fine with 22k spirited street/track miles, but no launches. The clutch feels as strong as good as the day it left the dealer.
Like Spaceball, first gear chirps the tires (w/ ultra high performance 255's), 2nd gear chirps in the cold/wet.
I am not planning on purchasing a new clutch in the near future, but consider whether or not your driving style may warrant one.

thanks spaceball. how much spool did you loose in first and second gears? The reason I am asking is cause I spent quite a bit of time in the first two gears... Cant downshift when you are slowly moving in first (and even in second gear)

if you plan on running alky, your clutch will probably be on the way out with those new torque numbers....probably the same on pump gas.

def recommend a new clutch....why cheap out when you've spent all this money already?

I am still running the stock clutch without issue. I, however, don't launch it or drag race. FP Green for almost 2000 miles so far.

93 pump - Shell.
27psi.
100% denatured alcohol at about 75%duty cycle, triggered at 16psi.
Buschur stage 4 and a few other mods.

I could turn the boost up more but it's a conservative tune for a roadcourse car.
