Thats funny, Thats my car on the AMS dyno sheet. If you look closely you will see that both turbos have same spool up time. I love my AMS kit. I was in the same bind trying to pick the right turbo for me! I am extremely happy with the AMS 50 trim kit! And it will have much more to give up top escpecially if you put race gas in the car!

You guys have to look at the temps in the dyno room also, It was 20 degrees warmer for my 50 trim run. And the 20 glt guy has to have a race engine if he is spinning to 8300 rpms? That also make a big difference. I love my turbo upgrade! But if you are only looking to spen 1000 dollars dont expect a complete kit. AMS came with everying, such as intake, downpipe, header, lower intercooler pipe.

You can get a gt35R, GT3071R, or GT3037S fitted with a turbine housing that bolts to the stock Evo manifold here: (about $1250 per turbo)

Correction factors on those two graphs are different as well: (Uncorrected/Turbo Trix) (SAE AMS).

sonicnofad: thnx man for that link. i'm def. going to look into that.

i would love to get a COMPLETE kit but I don't have the funds right now. that's why i'm trying to figure out a good turbo to fit my stock mani (ported n coated). what kind of mods will i need to support that fp green ? i may just have to save up and go with that. i'd end up spending the money on suspension or something else if i tried saving 3g's for a complete 50 trim kit from say, ams or buscher.

thnx

The FP Green costs $999 + $300 core charge via the exchange program.

When you give them your VIII turbo, you will be credited back the $300.

If you give them back a IX turbo, you get back $450.
