You can also use the Tomei oil thermostat removal and re-use the OEM lines.

Any thoughts or comments?
The cost of this circuit is less than 200$ and its really working well.

you can do a lot of damage from having your oil to cool, that is why a proper thermostat is important.

which setup would be better?
1) replacing the factory 13rows oil cooler with a 25-30 rows oil cooler, single bigger oil cooler
2) keep the factory oil cooler, and add another oil cooler with the same size as factory, twin oil cooler

Great thread!.

I'd like to see more hard data. Such as what HP are you running and where are your temps. One person stated 260 on the track. After an oil cooler upgrade what are your new temps?

Does anyone have an idea of what the ideal temp range to shoot for should be? 200-230 deg?

I really want to do an upgrade, but I just added an oil temp gauge, and I want to see where I am at before I take the plunge. On the street, oil seems to run about ten deg higher than water temp. 180/190. I am adding a CBRD rad now. Curious to see if that has an effect on street temps. Probably not because any lower and I think the thermostat would come into play. No data to compare for track temps though.

I wander if one of those EBAY oil coolers would work just as well as some of the higher brands such as Greddy or HKS or AMS's new oil cooler system

I bought the puller fan and the thermo switch @ AbsoluteRadiator.com

Good pricing and fast delivery.... even to Puerto Rico. Worth to look!

Will post the installation pics and details as soon as I get the parts.

Does anyone have any pics of there no cooler setup, I have heard alot of people dont run one, but I have not seen how its done. Do you just plug the system or run a line between.
