Machine work for AMS 2.3L stroker

Does anyone know what machine work needs to be done for an AMS 2.3L stroker engine? I have a friend with a Nissan 240 SX and he said that when he rebuilt his engine he had to have everything balanced out. Even the crank and have each piston individually weighed and then have the shop cut a little out of a heavier piston to make each one the same weight. Does all of this need to be done for us also? Since whe have balance shafts and such??? please let me know what ya'll think.

Thanks

What do you mean it'll fail eventually??? That no matter what it will fail with the stroker kit even if I get everything balanced out at the machine shop???

if you get it balanced and assembled properly then itll run smooth until it has a reason to blow...

but if u cut corners u might get lucky, you might not... i wold spend the extra 500 and get it done right. make sure everything is smooth, straight and balanced

cheers!

Im not sure on the AMS 2.3 kit. I Know on some 2.3s The block needs to be notched for the rods, Due to the longer stroke. Maybe it depends on what rods you choose.
