Why pay twice? I would just bite the bullet and go with coilovers, so much more flexibility than purchasing springs, imo.

go with megans coil overs fully adjustable ride hight and stiffness pillow ball upper mounts included and front camber plates its like buying a 13hundred dollar set for a grand. i wouldnt go with springs first and then still have the feeling of wanting coilovers i would just get the coilovers. pay once buy once use the money saved for my next upgrade.

Have a look at exe-tc.

They do a few levels of kit specifically for the evo. They believe they hit a sweet spot with the development and have manged to significantly reduce the spring rate that the damper is able to control due to minimising friction and keeping it consistent over the entire compression of the damper/strut.

The result is a set up which is incredibly comfortable yet far more grippy than any other set up I have had the pleasure of trying.

Not sure if you would have heard of the company, they are british, but they were responsible for the suspension on the WRC winning citroen in 2005. Am not talking about winning one rally here, am talking about winning the entire championship, and we all know how critical suspension is in rallying - these guys know their stuff.
