New version of Ebay IC with welded on brackets, 4" width and licp....Hmmm
I thinkg SS Auto is a good company. Theyve made a header for the FW Sr20 and listened to us with what we wanted. for a cheap cheap price. So far ive had mine for 3 years now and not 1 crack or leak... I would buy with confidence from SS auto...
looks the same, I tottally felt it on my butt dyno, my buddy used one and he's got a fast honda, no I wont tell you his name, and I don't know anything about welding but the welds on it appear to be flawless from what I can tell. Additionally I've no clue about tuning cars, or about cars in general but I know everything about intercoolers suddenly, I've got back to back data taken days apart which support my argument.
Edit:
I also can't even datalog my own car, but I can tell it's totally the same as all the others.

my car runs nice times and trap speeds with it.
And I put lots of miles on my Evo, the grill fins are like brand new despite any road crap hiting it.
Yes, you can buy a better brand name and thus better Intercooler; But this one
is not junk in my book.
I have test'd it on my car both, at the Dyno and the Track.

the picture shown is actual AMS intercooler. the end tanks are welded sheet metal and the inlet and outlet are curved and the bracket are welded on. that's not a picture of the XSP IC. it's a shame that they are using pictures of AMS IC to sell their knockoff products.

This statement is exactly why david is recieving so much flack in his thread. It was dumb and pointless to test the e-bay core against his race core. The e-bay core needs to be tested against the one it copies, the AMS street core. If you say the e-bay is junk them you may be saying the AMS core sucks as well. Even AMS has said the e-bay copy only looses 5-6 hp over their core. So that means the ebay core is -50hp over burshur race core on a 650whp setup. Which also may mean the AMS street core is -45 over burshur race core at 650hp level.
i also have an XSP IC and it look very similar to the AMS but it's not exactly the same. the in the picture above is exactly the AMS.
if you look at the ebay auction above, the picture of the IC is not the same one as the picture on the installed IC
