Yes, you can buy a better brand name and thus better Intercooler; But this one
is not junk in my book.
I have test'd it on my car both, at the Dyno and the Track.
How could you have used it for over a year when it just came out? Do you appreciate that this is a thicker core than the previous XS Power FMICs? The old one was just under 3.75" and this new one is just under 4".

honda-guy, I think you also are drawing comparisons to the older ebay FMICs that aren't necessarily true here. Maybe this new one does have the outlet pipes angled in?

i'm just saying the one in the picture looks exactly like the AMS, maybe they use picture of the AMS to sell the IC.

does anyone have pictures of the new version in there hands, not picture from the auction? we all know that sometime, you don't get what you see on ebay.

i'm just saying that i don't think it's a new version. i think they are just using pictures of the real AMS IC to sell their copy version.

The dimensions that they are posting are different and they are clearly emphasizing the thicker core in the title. Yes, they could be lying, but the auction itself suggests a new product.

You are correct, I assumed the Intercooler was this one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FMIC-...QQcmdZViewItem

Which is the one I recommend, and have had for so long with great results using it.
It is cheaper price wise, compared to the new one. And, we know it works.

I understand the new one at the begining of this thread is thicker and it is new and re-designed. Is it better than the old one I just linked you guys to? For others like your self, is time to find out and give the new one a test.
The old one, that we all have come to love, it is still for sell. You make the choice, .

Let us know how it goes. Itd be great if you had any access to test pressure drop with the new core.

They have been using that picture for years..... its the same picture the used when I purchased mine but the actual product still has bolt on mounting hardware and it doesn't line up for crap. The IC itself may be great but mounting it was a PITA and it didn't line up right. I removed mine.
