Trade it. The type S was the best BOV that greddy ever made. Just make sure you do the single spring mod and you will be all good.

plus it will sound a hell of a lot better

if i were you i would use your stocker. 10x times better than any of those aftermarket ones. yes im talking about the evo 9 b.o.v. not the evo8 plastic one. ditch the greddy and go stock, it will hold boost very well

No problem. Inside the Greddy Type S there are two springs. Just take an alan key and open up the BOV and remove the smaller of the two springs. Then install it on your car.

If you leave both springs in, the car will have slight idle issues and possibly shutter while crusing.

But taking out the spring is cake. I promise.

this i'm not sure about because i've only had evo 8's. but if this is true.....i'd take his advice.

If stock works, no reason to change things..........

Why would you use either of them? Your stock aluminum BOV is better than both.

Yes you have to recirculate it. When you get an aftermarket intake you'll hear it. I agree with the above, stock is better, no need to change. When you get an intake you'll be adding power and sound. Hard to say no to that

bro why would you want to vent? there is no reason to vent it. unless your looking for the swish sound, which is doing nothing but wasting gas, and being the slowest evo ix. stick to stock and youll be OKAY!

I would not recommend the single spring mod. It leaks profusely at idle and cruise when you do that.
