None that are sufficiently persistent or prevelant to categorize as EVO specific across the board. Typical minor isolated stuff hs been reported by some members. I have had no problems at all.

yes. some owners are getting decelerating grinds or noises. some have gotten 5 gear grinds. some have gotten new clutches. very small amount of owners though. maybe the cars, maybe the owners who caused the problems

My EVO is running very well so far. Mitsy did replace 4 or 5 transmissions early on that where DOA. For the most part, Mitsubishi's response to early problems has be excellent. Most owners who have found real warranty issues have been very satisfied with Mitsubishi's concern and followup.

Oh yea..... one owner had his stock BOV grenade. He did state that his attempt at a 11 second pass and the 100 shot of NOS probably helped it along.

Speedlimit....

Has the dealer fix the problem with the transmission grind.

Will Mitsubishi fix the transmission problem for the 2004 model year.

My car just started making some ****ed up noises tonight. It's almost like the sound of a loud flute. Happens on acceleration, and coasting in neutral. Definitely not there on deceleration in gear (but when that happens, I hear what I think is the sound that everybody else has.... like the tranny is falling apart sound; probably throw out bearing). When I coast neutral to a stop, you hear the sound going away, and it changes to a slight clicking griding sound, but very light. It has something to do with the drivetrain. I hope it's nothing crazy. Going to bring it in tomorrow to get it checked out.

Maybe I just got a weird car.

My Evo is in the body shop right now and the roof is being repainted. I found a small blemish about the size of a nickel right in front of my sun-roof. I took it in and the warranty manager said they'd have the whole roof repainted and even let me pick the body shop that I wanted the work done by. I have had no other problems besides that.
