I love my TRE tranny and would have them do work again for me in a heartbeat plus john at TRE is a super knowledgable guy and can answer any question you throw at him.

With either one you can't go wrong, Shep is really good though, but for my EVO I'm going to be going with the pro's at Buschur Racing! They'll take your call, answer all your questions and the customer service you just can't beat!

Bushwacker all the way IMO!

What "Bushwacker" replaces for $850
1st thru 5th syncro's, 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th sleeve, syncro springs, Heavy Roll Pins and Reshimming.

What TRE replaces for $800
1st thru 5th & Reverse synchros, 1st/2nd 3rd/4th 5th/Reverse hub & sleeve, 3rd/4th 5th/Reverse shift fork, Input & output shaft bearings, needle bearings, oil seals, synchro springs

What shep replaces for $895
1st thru 5th Reverse synchros, 1st/2nd 3rd/4th 5th/Reverse sleeve, high strength roll pins, synchro springs, input shaft bearings, 3-4 fork

I think bushwacker is the most expensive. also, bare in mind that in the 5th gear grind TSB, the reverse gear syncro, 5th-Reverse sleeve and spring must be replace, since they also received revisions.

I am leaving in a few hours to take mine up to Buschurs

I am sure Daniel will do everything that shep does and match the price.... I am hoping anyway.

Well I talked to shep on the phone and thought he was kind of an a**hole.

I kinda thought he thought I was some 20 year old kid, just wasting his time

I called Daniel and he was super awsome on the phone, so he won my buisness.

I've had my TRE Stage II trans in the car for about 3000 miles now and its workin like a charm. When I ordered it Jon told me he no longer rebuilds Transfer Cases, but he will sell you a new one with his specs. (Yea, scratched my head on that one too)
Anyways, I got my transfer case done at Shep so I've had good experiences with both. Although I must admit, Jon at TRE is very hard to get ahold of on the phone. But once you get him to answer, he'll talk your ear off about transmissions.

My question is how much extra $$ would Buschur charge to take care of everything these other guys are... I'd rather deal with them but I only want to rebuild the tranny once.
