I simply reattached the linkages to the bushings, and it all went back to normal. The only problem is they popped off during EVERY session after getting heated up, so I had Buschur send me his underhood bushings, which I'm now awaiting. For daily driving, it's been fine, but on track, it was a no-go.
Thats a good thing for me to keep an eye on....but my Buschur shift linkage bushings have been installed a long time ago....

Mine were stock bushings that had been taken in and out during all my swapping, and those bushings aren't meant to be taken in and out, so I think mine were weak. I'm hoping the BR bushings will stay put without worry.

It's kinda hard to go with someone besides TRE in my opinion since you get quite a bit more with their rebuild compared to shep and bushwacker, and I've heard their quality is great, so if i have a hard time getting a hold of them, and get more of a rebuild out of the deal, that's the way I would go.

Shep and buschur are known for their quality work! Good stuff I am sure! TRE is the way to go in my opinion!!! More work and/or parts options for you money! ESP if you enjoy autocrossing or track stuff! TRE did the transmission in my talon 4 years ago (never a problem with it, thanks TRE) and they will see my EVO if needed!

Ill put a Shep trans up against a TRE ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. In fact, Ive seen more TRE trans have problems then Shep. I dont think Ive ever seen someone complain once about Shep. He also has a ridiculous turn around time. I dont know why everyone is so hung up on TRE.

Hell, Im not even biased. Ive never been to either, but judging from my friends and other people's testimonies, Id never send TRE my trans. Ever. Shep will get my business, but hopefully Ill never have to send it there!!!!!!

With play? I thought you said you saw it dangling. You should go look in the engine bay behind the battery to see if the shifter cables are attached to the levers on the trans. The cables probably slipped off the bushings like on my car. There shouldn't be "play" if they are conected, though.

Not that i am having this problem, But i would like to thank TTP for coming in with the idea of what he should check for. He may have wound up spending alot of money he didnt need to right now! Not saying no one else wouldve told him, but its always great to have vendors that r commonly on the boards helping the community!
This is for u sir

The TRE "horror stories" have to do with getting ahold of Jon by telephone, NOT about the quality of his work, which is outstanding. Simply stated, if you want an excellent rebuild, he'll give it to you. If you want to call and talk all day, you'll be disappointed.
Direct experience tells me otherwise.

That's the kind of first hand experience that I'd rely on.
