Buschur Race vs. Buschur Deluxe FMIC

if you aren't feeling the need to upgrade your turbo all that much (20g level) would the race be a waste or is it worth the extra 200 it costs with the LICP?

I had the Deluxe for 2 years on my car and right now I am in the process of going to the FP GREEN. I upgraded to the race FMIC for 2 reasons.

1) Its going to be summer and all the extra cooling I can get will be needed. Buschur stated himself that the Race has much better cooling than the Deluxe.

2) I will be running methanol and I know while that cools, I will be running a smaller turbo (Green) at high boost levels which is sure to produce a fair amount of heat.

I just felt that my situation required the upgrade. It cost me $309 exactly with the new LICP to upgrade. I figured that also gives me room in case I decide to go 35R in the future.

If you are going to keep the stock turbo, you cannot go wrong with the Deluxe. Its a fantastic FMIC with great piping. GL

I am more than satisfied witht my Deluxe but have no comparision to the Race Version. I know i can do multiple runs and the lower pipe be scolding hot and the throttle side be nice and kool!

I'd stick with the stocker unless your planning on tracking your car.

Just upgrade the piping.

I say if you are gonna upgrade might as well go big and get the race FMIC.

Here is my review and install pics if you want some more info.

Go with the Race FMIC, even if you're on the stock turbo you still get a hp/tq increase. Less then 1 psi loss and if for what ever reason you want to upgrade the turbo or what ever, the intercooler will be the last thing you will have to worry about since the Race Intercooler can stand up to over 1,000 hp! Not to mention it looks... ah so good... I got it on my IX!

- Also dudical26's review of the RACE FMIC is pretty good, you should take some time and check it out!
