Shifting Question

I have an Evo IX and in normally day to day driving, shift from 1st to 2nd is smooth. However, when I am WOT and try to do a quick shift from 1st to 2nd, it seems like 2nd is just out of reach and I can't get it into gear. Almost like there isn't enough gear lever movement available to get it into 2nd. There is no grinding and when I let off a little, goes into 2nd fine.

Almost seems like it just needs a small amount of linkage adjustment. I searched and all I found was a clutch adjustment.

Is there a way to adjust the linkage slightly? Will a clutch adjustment do it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated (on topic, of course). Thanks.

I say try adjusting the clutch a little and see if that helps you out.

Adjust the clutch and see how that works. If you arent getting any grinding then the little adjustment of the clutch should make it fine.
