I have a 03 Evo should I go with 5w-30 or 10w-30 oil?

AMSOIL Product Code TSO 0W-30 oil has a more Robust additive package than ASL or ATM (5-30 or 10-30)

AMSOIL's recommendation for the Lancer Evo is TSO first and ATM second.

The car calls for 10w30, so use it.

Danny.... If you look at how oil is tested and rated, you will see that there is no difference at operating temps and you will get better lubrication at start-up.

I will agree on not running a heavier weight oil such as 0W-50, 10W-40, 20W-50 Etc... in a tight clearance (Stock clearances) engine as it robs HP and fuel mileage ( as if anyone worries about fuel mileage here). and cause oil starvation on cold start-up.

Cold is anything less than operating temp..
