Power gains from Buschur Ported Exhuast Manifold

Well after spending over an hour searching Buschur's dyno thread I have not been able to find the info I am looking for.

I want to know how much power porting a stock exhaust manifold will add.

I can only find when DB added ported exhaust manifold and ported hot side and ported 02 housing.

Any one know how much power just a ported exhaust manifold makes?

welp here's the deal. i have no idea but my friend used to pull on my car mega hard. maby 3 cars from 60mph to 120ish. now when i had the ported 10.5, manifold and added a o2 housing. UNTUNED at that time i pull'd 4 at the least from 65mph to ABOUT 120. i would say it added good power. then when i had that setup tuned. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA 4 cars turn'd into truck lenths.

Might be hard pressed to find someone who did before and after dynos with just a ported manifold. My guess is not that much by itself. 2whp?

How is this in anyway helpful to determining how much power porting a manifold adds?

Please only post if you have actual experience with before after dyno.

Thanks

According to my notes, ported exhaust manifold should be worth about 5whp. Add a SS o2 housing and make it 15-20whp gain total.

It will make between 5 and 10 whp depending on your level of tune. The more power your car makes the more of a restriction it is. If you are at 300whp it may make 5. If you are at 400whp it may make 10. For either of those it may make 7 (depending on your car). For the $200 it is a good mod. Of course it works best if your hotside is also ported to match. . . and then if that's ported you should have your 02 housing ported to match . . . it all kind of works together. . .

What makes you say this, experience or opinion?

I'm not knocking your input, I just like to act on proof rather than speculation.

Thanks

Search, search, read all the way through a thread, and then search some more, that's all I gotta say. 5whp gains were around the 300-375whp mark on a stockish turbo (8 or 20g-9-5) so obviously you'll see more w/ a bigger setup.

+1 on the 15whp gains from ported intake manifold and throttle body.

Just trying to help the guy save some money I would thing that a P&P manifold would make additional power.

5hp

I searched for the same thing forever.

Below you can find DB's answer to me when I enquired about the ported stock manifold:

**I can gaurantee a 5 hp increase over stock IF the turbine housing and 02 housing are addressed first. IF you leave the turbine housing a 9.8 unported piece and the 02 housing unported you will not gain anything from the manifold.

I could not do an exchange as I am located abroad. After thinking about gains vs door to door cost (including installation, shipping, exhaust manifold seal) I decided to go with the FR pro-stock manifold.
