what DV do you have? You need to put in softer springs/loosen it if its is one of those kinds.

stiffer springs/more tension will hold boost better but will cause the car to buck and jerk at high load/low RPM throttle inputs.

Compressor surge… but I can’t believe you get it trying to maintain 60 normally you get in when in a gear like fifth and put your foot down at a low rpm. Stockish turbos are notorious for it because they spool so low in the rpm range and the stock DV is weak and smoothes it out

I may be wrong but when you are maintaining a speed of 65-70 in 5th gear you are not in boost so your BOV should not really have anything to do with it.....

Howevery, If you are accelerating into boost and backing off then your BOV could be too stiff.

If it is only happening when you are attempting to speed up a little your BOV could be opening slightly while entering boost and closing again when you ease off.

Put your old BOV back on and take a drive, if that solves the problem then well, your problem is solved. If not then you can deduct that it may not be the BOV.

This is not strange - it's very normal with a stiff BOV. If you build any positive boost and let off, then it's going to buck and stutter due to compressor surge.

I've got the same problem with my HKS, and it has the stiff spring installed. Just gotta tweak it every once in a while but even while doing that the problem is still there (but not nearly as bad). Can't wait to get rid of this stock turbo.

I have a Forge DV but didn't experience much flutter until I took the stock intake box off. After that the flutter problem started.

This is completly normal in that gear when letting off the gas in boost.Whether it be 15psi or 25 psi. Even using the stock IX or 1g valve which give you great driveability you will still get some flutter in high gear letting off, although with the 1g or stock IX DV it will be much less of a flutter or surge. You can do what ever you want with the valve your using now and it will not get rid of it at that flutter in the situation your describing.

Check the pressure references to your wastegate, boost solenoid, bov, etc. If you have a boost controller do not connect it to the same reference as the bov. Are you still in vacuum when this is happening?
