As posted by other colleagues in the forum, Mitsubisihi PN MZ 690072 is a larger capacity oil filter for the EVO. Looking at cross reference with common oil filter brands I found that Wix makes the same filter under PN 51356. NAPA auto parts carries this filter (actually made by Wix for NAPA), PN 1356. For those of you interested in specs, the Wix/NAPA filter has 20 x 1.5 mm thread and 3.402 inch height.

 

I've been using the pure one filter intended for the Dodge Stealth. It is about as large a diameter as can be fitted but is not longer. I can put five quarts of oil in my car with this filter and not be over full.
