Some FPgreen spool data.

27 psi at 4160 rpm in 3rd gear:

Lower boost spools faster, full spool by 39XXrpm in 3rd: (Don't mind the boost hump as that is how I tuned my boost curve at that point.)

2.0L stock motor with ETS fmic. Nisei LICP, stock UICP. Unported stock 02 housing and manifold.

I was reading your post on norcal evo. after adding 20g-lt, you gained no power. added an intercooler - again no power. than put on an intake and gained 24whp. if I am not mistaken, later you say that the ecu adds a bunch of fuel on the track due to higher intake temperatures from the open filter.

I wonder if you would have solved the problem with a modified airbox (side cut across the snorkel) with a good drop in like works?

I am going to assume that you're not on the upgraded FP Actuator.... thats a lot of boost droppage.

I disagree Ralph...From what I have seen that is a pretty standard taper given the peak boost and probably shows that the turbo can flow only a tad more psi (but a lot more air) than a standard 9. I am holding 19.5 psi (but less air I am sure) at 7K with my 9 with a peak of 24.5.

Bryan -- spool looks pretty nice. What sort of fuel are you using w/ a 27.4 psi peak? What are your thoughts on using Alk or meth to aid the 91 octane in Ca.?

I am working on figuring out how to shield the filter from the engine bay temps and bring in cool air to it. Stay tuned.

mitsu 9 actuator. That 1st log is with the stock OEM airbox with drop in filter. Now with a open air filter it can hold 24-25psi if I want it to.

100 octane. I don't actually run 27.4 psi. I run 26 on one of my tunes. I was just testing it. Meth would help 91 octane for sure. It's even better than 100 octane from what I have seen, but of course, another thing that could fail.
