Question OVer Boost Brand New Evo IX (30+ Psi)

hey guys...
a buddy of mine just bought an evo IX..however...the first mod we installed was a Defi Boost/Oil Temp/Oil Pres./Water Temp gauges...
however the freakin boost gauge is reading 2.0Bars+++...thats about 30psi...we did a log and the a/f ratio is good....no knock....what should i check for?
could it be a defected gauge?/Bad Wastegate?

and no i cant take it back to mitsu coz evos in this region are sold without a warranty wat so ever..(they literarly tell you if you buy an evo and drive it out the showroom and the engine blows we have nothing to do with it)!!

suggestions welcome

thanks

Prob bad gauge. If it is stock and boosted that much you should hit the ECU's boost cut well before you hit 30 psi

If you have no boost contoller. You have a faulty gauge. As stated if your not flashed eaither boost cut would have prevented you from 30psi even if the selenoid went bad somehow
