Nice choice in rods! If you're using an off-the-shelf Carrillo rod, they only make a 5.906" long rod (standard length) for the 4G63. I doubt a custom rod was ordered. If you end up pulling your engine apart, new pistons are cheaper than new Carrillo rods.

Damn they sold you a set of pistons that were .050 over. How come they did that. You must have has some severe cylinder wall damage to need those.

Good luck on whichever route you decide to take.

I ordered them through a performance shop who usually buys stuff from Titan Motorsports..
And since i paid in advance and also paid alot of freight and duty from all the way from U.S to Pakistan
Coudnt send them back....
Lets hope for the best...

What static compression ratio were you expecting your rebuilt engine to have anyway? If it was 8.8:1 c.r., and you ended up with 7.8:1 c.r., then I´m wondering how many horsepower you´ve lost at any given boost level by dropping down one full number in compression? You can always get that power back by turning up the boost a couple of PSI.

Guess what i did some research about my pistons and they are good too.
Ross pistons with 9.0 compression.
Everything is good! The only thing is that my engine builder used a OEM Mitsu headgasekit with over pistons....
So just need to change the headgasekit

If you use .050 over 9.0:1 pistons, won't your final compression ratio actually be a bit over 9.0:1 due to the increase in cylinder displacement of the .050 larger bore, compressing into the same sized combustion chamber?

Compression ratio will not change in that case because the entire cylinder is .050 over.

Something is completely off here. It doesn't make sense. There has to be a mixup somewhere.

Yup there was come mix up...
But now it is clear everything theres no compression prob either with the rods or with the pistons...(Misinformation provided by my engine builder which is now clear)
The pistons which came in were 85.75 which means that they are .75 over.
So now i only need a headgaskit...(Since my engine builder used a new mitsu OEM headgaskit) and i think that it is where the problem lies and due to which my water temp.rises
So please advice which headgaskit would be work with .75 over....
