Pick out a FMIC for the Evo 8 HELP PLEASE

I am looking for a solid intercooler for my evo 8 mr. I had the precision racing intercooler, but I sold it because it would not fit with the front bumper support/beam. I really want something that won't require much cutting if any.. I am not using an undertray anymore.. My 3 top intercoolers are the AMS, Nisei, and Perrin so far.. Do you guys think these would be the best to choose from? I just need some one that knows from experience and has one on their car. Also, can you tell me what kind of power increase you got from it and if you had any turbo lag.. because I put on the precision one and had a lot of lag because I just have bolt ons on my car.

Thanks for the input and help!

Buschur Deluxe should fit with little to no cutting.

That's what I'll be getting next

APS fits without ANY cutting - main reason I choose it over some of the popular kits. Not many people on this board use it, but you can find many reviews (all positive) on lancerregister.com

Do you plan on upgrading the turbo? What are your current mods? Do you auto-x alot? The reason I ask these questions is that the stocker might be good enough for you.

Buschur Deluxe FTW... get it and consider it done!!!{Thumbup}
No modifications what so ever, rated for 750+ hp, less then 1psi pressure loss, and comes with the LICP!!!

You did't have to cut your undertray?

I wouldn't know, I have the Race FMIC, which requires a slight cut to the undertray. But, there's some people who have managed to shove their undertray back on even with the Race FMIC, but the deluxe should be even easier IMO!

Anyone with the Deluxe knows?

Like I said originally.. I had the Precision Core Racing FMIC . It seemed like it gave the car better cooling.. but I could not manage to put the bumper support back on.. So I kept it off for a while and just came to the conclusion to sell it so I would not have to worry about totally messing up the front of my evo if the front hit something.

Mods are as follows: Megan 02 housing, DC Sports 3" downpipe w/Cat delete pipe, HKS full stainless 3" catback exhaust, Horsepower freaks licp, turbo smart dual port blow off, injen uicp, injen full intake with cone filter.. and that's all for now.

Also, I do not auto-x. All suggestions are welcome! Thanks again

APS FMIC or Fullrace, both are awesome and have great reviews.

Have you looked into the ETS ones? I am thinking about picking one up myself.

Let's just say I sold my old Nisei so I could buy a new Nisei

AMS is a good option too, but I prefer Nisei. Then again, I have kind of a mongrelized parts list
