terribly newb question.

can i use a 280 exhaust cam, with a OEM intake cam?

Would not be a good idea.. especially without a tune.. You should just get a good setup of cams.. both intake and exhaust and get a good tune .. then you will be set. You would probably be looking at like 5hp with one cam.. if that.. compared to 20+with 2 cams and a good tune!
