Injectors??? Denso=HKS/Greddy/Helix?

I'm looking at getting 720cc injectors, and have been advised by a couple tuners to go with the Denso's. I've spent some time researching, and it seems like all the Blitz HKS, Greddy Apex injectors are all Denso's, as well as the Helix's. Can anyone confirm this? ...or maybe recommend injectors? Thanks

IIRC, those Densos (and the relabeled Densos) are a pintle design, and are not what I'd consider as the best choice. But then again, there isn't much offered by Blitz, Greddy, Apex and such that I consider as 'top shelf' hardware.

I prefer the Delphi ball-seat design, sold by Fuel Injector Clinic and Precision Injector.

I know for a fact that the Blitz,HKS and Greddy injectors are made by Denso,I'm not sure about the Helix ones but they look Denso's too. Between Blitz, HKS & Greddy, only Greddy and Helix list a 720cc injector though. The others are 700 cc and 680 cc respectively.

I've used Denso injectors for the last 10 years on various cars and never had an issue with any of them. The factory injectors are made by Denso so they can't be that bad.

I wouldn't consider them 'bad' any more than I would consider a Greddy IC 'bad'. I'm just giving my opinion that better choices are available, just as there are better ICs available.

I was curious about the pintle vs. disc style. Is this what you are talking about. I was wondering which one was better for our (high boost 4 cyl.) application. Also does Denso make both styles or just the pintle. Thanx.

The pintle style has a heavier mass to actuate, which results in slower response time and less efficiency at high duty cycle. It's also the most prone to failure if run hard for prolonged periods.

The disc and ball types have lighter mechanisms and run more efficiently at higher duty cycles, and with better reliability. The faster response time also works better with our injector circuit, which AFAIK isn't a true peak-and-hold design.

Yeah that's what I wanted to know, thank you. I am used to running Siemen Deka injectors in my other cars and they are flawless.
