br 50 trim vs. ams 50 trim

when i get back from iraq i plan on switching to a 50 trim. I am wondering if u guys can give ur inputs on these two turbo kits. I know they are both great companies but the br is so much cheaper in price. And the ony thing the ams comes with that the br doesnt is the intake and filter if im not mistaken. Is the extra price for the ams worth it. If u are running one of these kits can u please give me some feedback on it. Or if u just know a thing or two about them...Thanks

You cant go wrong with either one. I have the AMS 50 Trim and its the prettier looking kit.

Pump gas power is like 410-415 AWHP..... cams HKS 280's

The gains should be similar with either kit

Blue Evo8, just out of curiosity, have you ever run your car at the track on pump gas?

Look at his sig. His 60' time is high. He didn't launch it.

I have the AMS 50 and with mods listed in my sig. Power is posted, best ET to date is 11.75 @ 120. I know it can do better, but haven't had time to try.

AMS kit comes with their "AMS 304 SS Thick Wall Tubular header" (That alone is like $1200) a SS 3" Downpipe (!"Please Note: The downpipe in the AMS turbo kit has a three bolt outlet flange designed to bolt up to the AMS Catback and midpipe section. If you do not have an AMS exhaust a 3" 3 bolt flange will need to be welded onto your existing cat-back"!) It also comes with a "Lightweight Polished Aluminum Intake Pipe with K&N Filter", and Lightweight Polished Aluminum Lower Intercooler Pipe.

All this info is taken directly from their site.

I remember reading in a different thread that buschur hasn't sold a single 50 trim kit yet due to their success with the 20glt. I was waiting to see results from this kit but apparently there aren't any yet, could be wrong though.

You're absolutly right. If you call buschur or contact him on here, he will sway you away from his 50trim kit and say go with the LT, It's fast spooling and functions better on the street, especially on pump only. 50trims are a good highway turbo, but seem to lag or so I think on the track to the point they havn't shown a proven timeslip to be better then a 20g

your personpreferance though, do what you want bro, I myself wanted a 50trim but will either go 20g or 3065.

Good luck yo ya.

I have read that the Green turbo produces more tq than a 50 trim on pump and meth or race gas.
