Please Help

JUst got my shearer 50 trim installed so i went to do a few pulls to log and send back to my eflash tuner. I also had the tuner send me a map for my current mods.

I did a third gear pull as soon as i got to high boost a cloud of white smoke came pouring out. My avcr is set to 1.40 (about 20 psi) but when i looked at it it was hitting 1.86 (if im calculating right thats about 25 psi.)any way I was tripping out so i quickly pulled on the side of the road. After about 10 to 15 secs the cloud stopped and the WHITE SMOKE cleared up.

ofcourse i searched and i found that it could be
1. blown head gasket
2. Turbo went bad.
3. crack head
4. Head studs stretched out

drove home the car was fine i just never took it to high boost again. The car didnt over heat.
checked oil no resdue of any kine. Car has a strong lob (hks 280) then it stumbles and goes back to the lob
But i discovered that the guy who installed it capped of the breather with a plugg. Im talking about that one vacume line that runs to the intake on top. I think its the valve cover inlet.

so i was hoping that because the inlet was capped with a rubber plugg maybe it was a blow by.

what you guys think?
below is a pic off what im talking about. he capped what is circled
*thanks to sharkm87 i borrowed his pic off his thread*

is the turbo new?

i dont know if the turbo kit requires a in-line oil jet before the turbo? excessive smoke is generally from oil.

Did you check turbo shaft for back and forth, axial play?

found out that its called the breather hose and its not good to plug or block it.

Like that link i have up above his breather hose was apparently blocked or cut off causing the pressure that is normally vented out at high boost to be forced back in the crankcase.

but will that cause whtie smoke to cloud out your exhaust?

It is probably the turbo, either it's getting too much oil pressure (can be fixed w/ a oil reducer) or one of the seals are blown. I'd call whomever you got it from and see what they say.

You need to uncap that breather plug asap. It allows the crankcase to ventilate. The easiest thing to do is run a hose to the ground or a catch can, but this is not necessarly the best option either.

I would actually encourage you to plug the hose you put on back into your air intake tube before the turbo and after the MAS.

Most people dont do this because it get oil.... yada yada yada in the turbo/intercooler piping.

It has been well documented that it is better to have this line hooked up in the stock configuration, and is based off of how your pcv valve works.

**If it (pcv) is eliminated, then dont worry about hooking the hose back up.

The PCV is open under idle/cruise and clamps under boost/high load. Therefore, with the stock configuration, the pcv pulls air thought the crankcase back into the intake manifold during idle and cruise loads. Since the line is not hooked up, it is pulling unmetered air thought the crankcase into the plenum and causes your idle and cruise fuel trims to be off.

Think about it.

if its the turbo would there be consistent amount of smoke? Because after that few seconds the smoked stopped.

i uncapped it but i never boosted it yet. As soon as i get home i plan to do a 3rd gear pull so i can log it for my eflash.

Did you prime the turbo before you started the car?

Then the turbo is most likely shot.
