Safe Boost

How much boost is consider safe runing this mods and with a proper flash tuning and considering 93 pump gas only.

-engine rebuild( Pauter rods ,wiseco Pistons)
-Arp Head and main Studs
-avcr+Reflash
-walbro Fuel Pump
-20G turbo.
-780 injectors.

Help Apreciated because im just starting on the reflash process.

i wouldn't go higher than 22-23 psi max with a good tune. i like to keep mine around 21 just to be safe.

what he said ^^^

I ran 22-23 psi all day on 93...as long as you have a good tune w/ no knock, you will be fine

Leave it at what the tuner tunes it at, if its a custom tune. That would be a good idea.

Boost and AFR both make power until knocking where the opposite happens. But richer AFRs allow making power with timing which is easier to do but less efficient.

My point - if your not knocking at all and you don't want to mess with the tune perhaps there's room for pwr with boost, BUT if you accidently get bad gas - bad things will happen. Very bad things, so bad that you may want to cry

I run 28psi with alky on the street and have similar mods to you sans the internals.
I have roughly 0 knock.

I actually tune it down on the track to about 24 and add a gallon of xylene to a 3/4 full tank for safety.

+1. You have head studs so if you arent knocking, turn the boost up as high as you can. I run 24 peak psi with 93 octane and zero knock.

26 is way to high to run on pump gas without meth injection! some IX's can get away with it with a great custom tune, but even most of them limit it to 24-25 on pump. on an VIII, you can't run 26 on staight pump. well, you can, but it wouldn't end up very good.

so do you have to have head studs to run 23psi daily. keep in mind that i'm not boosting all the time.
