yeah man its all in your tune. I am running 24-24.5 without any issues. Not even a single count of knock here or there. Thats even after being heatsoaked

What is the octane number of the gasoline that you will be running? What is the static compression ratio of your engine rebuild?

Just out of curiosity, why did you rebuild your engine in the first place?

as was already said above, it's dependent on your custom tune/tuner...

My IX was tuned to spike to 24psi on pump 93. It depends on how aggressive the tuner is with your timing.

Some guys are boosting like 25psi with their IX's on pump gas, but they are not running as much timing, so really not making any more power than someone running like 23-24psi with more timing.

I still have yet to see a stock turbo HG failure that was strictly boost related and NOT detonation related. Are headstuds added insurance? Yes, but are they needed on a stock or Green? Most likely not. As Kreionic pointed out there are plenty of cars that run 24+ psi without knock and are running moderate timing. For reference his car is running 3* at peak torque at that boost level on a stock turbo and on my car with a Green and yet to be finished tune(as per MY requirements for my personal car) I am running the same timing at 24psi. I have been able to run as much as 6* at 25psi on 92 with a stock turbo and no detonation.

Cliffs- 23-24 is fine even with a Green on good pump fuel, and 26+ on 104+ octane and a good tune.

Get a wideband.......
And then tune it accordingly...
Btw you have a good engine built.....
If i wee you i would put in a bigger turbo like a 35 or a 37r...
