Yeah I've seen it a bunch of times.

Good thing my Trans Am has a lot more room under the hood to fit the Turbo.

Noogles, i have seen your build on LS1tech and it looks good mate. the thing that got me intrested in these turbos is that they actually spool faster than the GT42 (noit sure if it the R or not but i know that was a T4). if you have a look at the link in post #23 and read thats guys thread you will see he is now spooling quicker with the GT45v than the GT42!

also you will see picks of a size for size comparision of the 42 and 45. the turbo Noogles is running is a thumper!

thanks Chris.

Non BB GT42's are Dogs on v8's, they power output does not support the lag. I was originally going to to a twin 42r car, then decided the s595 would be easier to package.

VNT technology is great, it just underdeveloped specially for Gasoline use, they can be used only problem is for how long until the vanes explodes.

A GT45 is also considered a small turbo specially for 402ci (6.6L V8), i use to have a airwerks s488 with a 1.00Ar t6 flange. i had full spool on my 408 at 2900 Rpm.

There are a few guys running GT55-91's and one gt60

thanks Noogles.

wonder how the ST line of turbos could effect the import guys??? do you think something like a ST70 could beat (in both spool and power) a GT42r??? i hear the ST70 can flow as much as a GT42.

thanks Chris.

Who Makes the ST's?

Ever since i Started working with Borgwarner/Airwerks for my turbo builds i have fallen in love wit the ETT Wheels. The spool much faster and Flow more air than the Garetts. Take a Look at the Bullseye Power S200 and S300 units.

My next evo build will use a s255 or possibly s362
