If you think about it, most shops are gonna have awesome success stories... you gotta go with the ones with the LEAST complaints. I would take anything posted in here with a grain of salt, since it's almost 100% personal opinion. Some shops have seriously ****ed up, but I won't name names since we know who they are.

Me personally, if I get my car built I'd go with Buschur, JAM or AMS (depending on where I'm living). All the companies make great parts, so that ends up being (again) a matter of personal preference. The only thing with that is companies like AMS and Buschur make their parts to work with their parts, so performance might suffer a bit with a little mix-n-match. If you're going for 100% pure performance, stick with one shop and their parts alone. If you want a mix of performance and looks, stick with proven parts (like if you like the way AMS' intercooler looks compared to Buschur's, for example)... don't go eBaying it.

BTW, I didn't vote.

Who wouldn't want a big name? Every shop goes into the business to make money. A bigger name means a better income don't you think? That's like saying Microsoft wants no one to know about their products even though it works well.. Common now... You can't be serious... Who you think doesn't want a huge name and for what reason?

Enlighten me please.....

IMO, no one has done as much for the Evo community through extensive dyno testing of parts, reporting unbiased results, giving EvoM members advice, and turning out big-power Evo's left and right than Buschur and his team at BR... EOD.

If I could go back, I would have sent my car to Buschur Racing on Day#1...

I would stick with a company that is local to YOU that has experience with the Evo. In my case I would say that Atlantic Motorsports is 1st, ISP Racing 2nd, and Agile Automotive 3rd because if I have a problem with ANYTHING on my car, at worst I could have it towed to one them. Since they are actually "Building/working" on my car, they're the ones that can fix it for me.
I'm not saying that you can't have your car shipped (or drive yourself) to any of the above mentioned shops and have a turbokit done, just that if you live in MD (like myself) and I have a problem with my newly installed Buschur kit, am I going to ship it/drive it back to Ohio? no, I'm prolly going to go to one of the local shops I had mentioned.
Now as far as who makes the best parts (exhausts, intercoolers, etc), then I would say either AMS or Buschur, with a nod to Buschur because his stuff is a little cheaper, but just as good IMO. Full-Race has a really nice turbokit as well...

That's true but sorry to tell you all the above shop you have listed have nothing back up for their work. They may have high hp cars and have probably build a few so call "race cars". Most of them are show cars and none racing. Now if your talking about local shops and staying local for your need. I'll will go to DTM motorsport in Dulles, Va. The have race against AMS and BR. They won one of the class, but i dont remember what class or time. You can check it out in one of the Modified magazine couple months ago.

Dulles is at minimum a 2 hr drive from my house. CBRD is in York, PA and thats a little over an hour away. If you've been on the board you've seen what their shop looks like and you would also know that Chad is/was a racecar driver, but hasn't raced his Evo against AMS or Buschur. Based on your logic, I shouldn't go to them either since they've only been in business for a short while and haven't backed any of their work?!?

My point was that EVERY shop screws up at one point or another, some less than others. I've heard nothing but good things about the shops I originally mentioned, including CBRD. If you had your car done at AMS, Buschur, TT, etc, but did not live near them, what should you do? Ship it back? I don't think so! I have no doubts that DTM does good work but I have no opinion on them because I haven't heard anything about them.

Just try to find a shop thats near you that YOU feel you can trust, whether it be word of mouth or the internet or whatever....that will help you make your decision. They may not be AMS or Buschur, but they will be there to hopefully make your car what you want it to be!

not really, think about it for a minute. The bigger you are the more you pay, more employees, more taxes, more insurance, more expenses, more potential problems. Not everyone wants to deal with that. As long as the owner is happy and has a steady income to give them what they need, then whats the point to go big? So to answer your question yes I am serious. Think outside the box and you will understand.

I suppose so.. But I still think someone who's in true love with the sport of moddin EVO's they would always want to be know as the "top dog". I see your point though, but still, I think if you get a good enough income then all those other things would just be out weighed.

Anyways enough about that!

GO BUSCHUR!!!!!!! LOL
