Need HELP with boosting problem

A few months ago i was in an accident and as a result my wastegate was damaged. I am good friends with the owner of the body shop that I took my car to so I gave him a Forge adjustable wastegate to put on. I did this because I could not find a stock one. Anyway... ever since this was put on my turbo feels like it is no spooling as quick as it used to. I tried to adjust the wastegate but when I start to spool earlier I overboost. I just installed a Greddy Profec B Spec - II boost controller hopeing that it would correct my problem but I still can't seem to get it to spool any quicker than 4,000 - 4,500. Does anyone have any ideas because this is killing me (I ran a 15.1 in the 1/4 mile).

i've got the same setup, but I used the fp instead. I would suggest letting the tension all the way out on the wastegate and start from there to control boost. these upgraded wastegates seem to give a lot of people problems

If it's spooling slowly, then it sounds like the turnbuckle on the WG arm is not tightened down enough, so there is not enough preload. You should increase the preload, then set the boost with the boost controller. I'm not sure why you got an EBC to deal with this problem, because that will make the process much more complicated, but it can be done if you know how to manipulate the EBC properly.
