Have you done a boost leak test. Also you can get a softer spring for the tial.

 

Your getting compressor surge. Do you have a ported shroud on your turbo?

 

no i dont have a boost leak and i would think i would need a heavier spring if anything


and yes i have a ported shroud, its not fluttering, the bov is just releasing too early under WOT

 

It really sounds like compressor surge. The same thing will happen on my car. You think the BOV is opening up but it is because when it surges, it doesn't make boost which your motor creates a vaccumm which opens the BOV.

 

ahhh gotcha, do you know why it would be doing that?

 

im having the same problem...thinking of getting a tial ...does anyone know what could fix this..im on stock turbo...but more boost...it only happens 5th gear once i go over 24 psi...
