Tial bov spring alternative

here is my problem: in gears 4-6 if im casually driving at 3000 rpm's then decide to step on it, as the boost builds slowly, at around 10psi the bov will release and stutter. i have a tial 44 on. i thought my problem was the greddy rs so i got the tial 50mm but im still having this problem, could it be the spring is not strong enough still? im not sure wat spring is in its just the way it came wen i ordered from gruppe-s. in 1-3 gears it works fine and im only boosting 22psi, also say im in 6th and downshift to 4th or 5th as long as the rpms are up higher, it works fine

this will happen at WOT in 4-6th? thats odd. i would never run a VTA, if i were u i would sell it and get a nice forge piece and recirculate.

the spring rate is dependant on what your vac reads at idle, not boost pressure.

yes WOT, and it is atmosphere but the greddy rs was recirculated, both had this problem and both were during the same gears. i have never had this problem till i put on my turbo. even so being atmosphered shouldnt make the bov release under throttle

What turbo did you go with? I have noticed with most bigger turbos that the wastegate will flutter like this a lot esp with a 44.

its the 3065, but its not the flutter, the bov is completely releaseing and makes the car stutter

i was tuned by Al at bushur and yes it was happening with the greddy rs on, Al just thought i should tighten it down but it was down all the way and we were only running 22psi. Al just said to get a forge, but i went with the tial which should hold even better

this happened to be when i had my 20g-9-5 at part throttle, but it was the wastegate, not the valve.

bro, honestly all i can say is try a forge. these cars a sooo finicky when it comes to VTA and messing with the diverter valves. some will work 100% with out any probs, others wont run and stall and shutter all the time.

i really have not a clue. u are saying that it holds full boost under 1-3 but not 4-6. thats odd. the load is the same, same pressure just come on faster 1-3.

yea bro, got me. take it off, take it apart and try different springs. if that wont work, then find someone around u with a forge, try it and make sure u recirculate it.

ya thats wat i thought so i dont really know how it can be the bov or spring, but it has only been since my turbo upgrade...so i really have no idea, everything has been torn off and looked a couple times
