I use the Tilton Twin at those power levels. I would agree that the exedy triple is easier to drive so I would have to say that as well.

I would say at the 600hp point you are in triple carbon territory.

I would personally rather have a little overkill when it comes to the clutch since it is such an expensive part that wears out.
I rock the Twin Disk HD right now and it is great.

If I ran 600 hp I would run a triple disk, especially if I tracked the car heavily.

Dont get me wrong I love the way my tilton engages but I could see some ppl not liking it. The pull spring of the exedy as opposed to our hydraulic makes the exedy a little easier to drive... IMO anyways

If u want a street-able clutch to hold 600 whp, then look no further than the cusco twin plate clutch, most people tell me it is the same as the exedy twin plate, but i find the cusco has less chatter and easier to slip

Heres a Link

I think your clutch selection is going to be based on the TQ your machine will put down....since that is how clutch strength is messured. A lot of these 600whp machines are only putting down 450-500 ft lbs to the wheels. An Exedy twin would be fine for that (depending on whos dyno your talking about)

IA performance here in town has had two evo's with exedy twin hd's go out one putting down close to 450 ft/lbs and one doing 504 ft/lbs. You would need to go with an exedy tripple to be safe...

I had the Cusco Twin and did not hold past 500 ft/lbs! I had to build up to a triple and that is doing very well. The Cusco was built up using three Exedy clutch disks and two Exedy intermediate plates, the pressure plate and flywheel were reused. Thanks IA Performance!!!!!!

Tilton Twin Cerametallic! Not too Cheap ($600 single disk that will slip) and not too expensive ($2400 for a carbon clutch)
