I tried searching for this info but was not successful. Anyway, I was wondering how far methanol can take you when it comes to the stock injectors? I know it has been done on the stock turbo for a while and i have been doing it for a year or so now, but would the stock injectors be enough for the fp green if I continue to run methanol? I don't have a huge problem upgrading, but if I don't have to, then why should I, right? Also any info about larger turbos besides the green are welcome. Thanks

 

My buddy has an VIII with a IX turbo and 100%meth and he put down 401awhp. He said the injectors are near the max and would like to get some bigger ones, but is in no hurry.

But seriously, I think that meth is almost like having bigger injectors, but I think you might want to upgrade if you have the means to, or not push it to the limit on boost until you have what you need, but what is the fun in that?

 

Depends on the operating pressure of the meth, and quantity and size of nozzle.

I ran my 37r @ 33psi on stock injectors and 4 m15 nozzles operating at 120psi with 100% methanol My AF was 7.1 a bit lean for Methanol but the car didn't mind. 33k miles and doesn't burn a drop of oil or have any blow-by

 

meth, is a bandaid for your car. just run race gas and be done with it. if the meth stops or you run out then you can blow your engine.

 

Meth is not a bandaid.... Meth is Fuel, Fuel with a higher octane than even VP import.

Blown/Turbo Alcohol motors make more power than any race gas power adder car. Only Surpassed by Nitro.

If the Stock Computer could Support Staged Injection i would run 4 stock injectors and 4 1600cc Methanol injectors and run that at high boost.

Do some research before you make misinformed posts.

A band aid that let me run 32psi on a 37r with stock injector, stock rail and a Buschur/Walbro pump on craptastic California 91octane gas.

Granted I was spraying about 8x the amount normal people spray with about 2x the pressure.

you missed the point, most really dont understand meth. I know you can make good power, but some dont know enough about it on how to be safe.
