Can I run open downpipe?

Like the title says. Can I run open downpipe? I have a TBE with testpipe. The gasket between the downpipe and testpipe blew. I'm having trouble finding another gasket at local auto stores so. In the mean time, can I leave the downpipe/testpipe unbolted and drive around like that until I get another gasket?
Thanks

You can but it'll probably stink a lot since the exhaust fumes are right underneath you and it'll probably be very loud.

If you have the rear o2 plugged into the test pipe or the anti-fouler you won't throw a CEL.

I ran minus the entire exhaust... because I had the wrong bolts for my downpipe. Didn't realize the thread was different and wound up stripping it and had to wait to get the right ones. It sounds very... ehh... lawnmower/honda'ish.

You can but it will be loud, smelly, and you may shoot a couple of flames under the car

more power! I did that with me h22 prelude. loud as hell. turbo sounds cool though. seeing how it's an Evo, you might throw some sweet flames out the pipe....mainly set your car on fire. It would look sweet though. j/k..let it rip man!

there was someone on here with a cut out awhile ago. it was a stock turbo'ed motor and he said it dramatically reduced spool times, and made more power!

with a cutout you could run it nice and wuiet on the street, then open it up when you need it.
