you can get them like anywhere... exhaust shops, or look at some online evo shops. order it from the place that makes your exhaust im sure they sell replacement gaskets. when i got my exhaust they sent me extra gaskets... maybe it was an accident or maybe they were awesome...

back to topic at hand... if you burnt up your gaskets you have a problem with your tune, and you might hurt your engine if you continue to run it the way it is. thats why people have exhaust temp gauges, but burning your gaskets up is a sign.

what are your mods? what kind of tune are you running?

back to Open DP. the turbo makes running open DP not as loud as all motor cars. and with my experience running open in some cases helps with top end power, from like 5k+ BUT... in some cases it reduces your torque with lack of back pressure, and with lack of back pressure it can hurt your spool time compared to a good flowing exhaust. it can improve spool if you go from a very restrictive exhaust with a CAT, to open DP with no cat.

anyways sorry for rambling on, figured i had to add on to my previous post of " YES " lol.

My exhaust consist of DC sports Downpipe/ cat delete and a turndown. The dyno sheets showed a 400 RPM spool improvement, slight torque gains in the entire power band, and substantial Hp gain in top range over the Bushur turbo back I was running. It is loud and I would not suggest running like that on the streets.

good stuff. cars ive done open DP test with

97 supra TT
1G DSM

both lost the smallest amount of TQ open DP, and gained like 2-3 HP up top.

good to know with the evo it likes open DP on even the small stock turbo!

My performance mods are tbe with testpipe, intake, mbc, fuel pump, and dynoflash. The gasket didn't really get burnt. I pulled the downpipe off to pull the turbo out. When I did so, the gasket was still in one shape, but started to split apart. Wasn't good enough to be reused.

Thanks for the info guys.

Here is example of what it sounds like open downpipe.

and here is example of how open downpipe

with my experience most cases open DP slows spool just the slightest, and usually the middle stays close to the same and you notice most your gains in the top most of the power band.

this car actually slows spool time just ever so slightly, but helps the rest of the range. close to my personal experience but this has more midrange power than ive seen with my cars. but then again my experience the cars have gone from full 3" exhaust's to a cutout or open dp, thats why i usually see gains only at the very top of the power band.
