How many of you keep your stock air box?

Im wondering how many of you keep the stock air box with filter - People that slap 20g on the car/ meth / cams / and other few bolt ons...

yesterday i decided to swap from K&N cone to stock air box and i love it. Now im not sure if i should keep it that way or swap it back

Seriously how much hp can you make on K&N probably nothing and all this hot air that K&n suck in from engine bay i think it even will hurt your performance on hot summer days.

I have kept the stock airbox with just a K&N drop in. no complaints here.

It was one of the first things I got rid of.
But, I did put the stock air director back in place.

Having spent a considerable amount of time proclaiming the virtues of the stock airbox I have to admit I finally sacked it for a BR intake pipe and filter. I wouldnt go back to the stocker now, though the main advantage with a cut lid stock box is it doesnt throw off the MAF.

i remembner i read somewhere where it doesnt matter if its sucking up the hot air or even if you got a cold air intake because the intercooler cools it down anyway but thats just what i read. as for me i went for apexi power intake.

if your car is not tuned w/ cone filter of course it wont help
i have stock airbox, but I was told by a very well known tuner that cone filter still give your extra ponies up top.

stock box, HKS drop-in, but opened up the top of the box - using the Blitz induction cover. Works and sounds great for stock intake.

Cone filter will make more power and your boost won't taper as badly. To the original poster, you should just search for your answer. This topic has been beaten to death.

Just to add fuel to the fire: For over two years I had been faithfully running the stock airbox in varying degrees of modification(w/o cover, w/ cutout lid, w/K&N drop-in, etc.), and finally upon installing my new Green turbo, I went ahead and installed a custom length ITG foam pod airfilter, on an HKS suction MAF adapter base, while retaining the stock convoluted factory MAF hose. I love it. Now to get it tuned. But, it sounds so nasty.
