Problem with using continuosly an high flow pump ? (A1000)

I read on the A1000 manual, that you could have problem running it continuosly for more than 30 minutes...

so they advice you to install this one:

Aeromotive

Billet Fuel Pump Speed Controller, P/N 16302

For any pump, on any type of vehicle, the Aeromotive Fuel Pump Speed Controller (FPSC) minimizes hot fuel handling problems for in-line pumps in bypass systems and it will also keep T-style pumps cool in static systems, extending fuel pump life. Sensing engine RPM, the FPSC kicks your fuel flow into high gear when you need it, but reduces pump speed and flow to keep things cool when you don't. It's like an automatic transmission for your electric fuel pump.

What do you think ?
Have you ever had problems with high flow pumps without a speed controller ?

TIA.

In the DSM community it's fairly common knowledge that race pumps like the A1000 won't last long in a daily driver. They put a lot of heat into the fuel too. The speed controller could be helpful, but I have no personal experience with it, and don't have any friends that have tried it.
