Mine doesn't touch anywhere its a perfect fit. Maybe the pics make it look that way but it has way more clearance than my Megan Racing exhaust had. I like this one much better.

 

I'd like to bump this thread because I see the vendor selling the exhaust I have again has a bunch of these on ebay and they are under $300.

I too have this exhaust and it is almost perfect. The doughnut gasket can be thrown away and just re-use the stock one. I have an '03 and it fit perfectly. It looks as if it hangs down alot but it never scrapes on anything.

I see you have an 8. Will this work on a 9. It doesn't seem like there is much difference.
