i am not sure if this is normal but my oil pressure reading is really low; on idle after warm-up, it stays around 0.9 to 1.1.

Sometimes it goes down to 0.3 whenever i stop.

I am currently using Motul 15/50 and car is almost stock with PowerFC D-Jetro (MAP).

any idea?

 

Very low oil pressure is normal on the EVO after complete warm up. Mine at a stop light drops to like 15-20 PSI, however when I get on it it goes way up.

The gauge is really only there so you can monitor if your lose oil pressure altogether. Other than that it's pointless since EVO's can run extremely high pressure while in boost.

 

the problem is mine on normal idling is about 14.5psi; and sometimes during stops, it goes down to 7.25psi then bounce up to about 16psi.

on my friend's evo, during idle it stays about 29psi.

 

waht is your oil pressure going up to while you drive??? mine hits 100 psi, but i thought its 10psi per rpm
