SS Autochrome Manifold & O2 Housing

Hi all, right now I have 2k to spend on my 9 & I have a few questions for the people running the autocrome manifold and 02 housing. What type of gains are expected when swaping the stockers? SS auto is selling them both for $250 right now and that seems like a steal. I already searched far & wide and have found many different posts on the 02, but little with the manifold & o2 combo. Anyone with this setup please chime in & give some feedback on what you experienced. I have basic bolt ons right now as listed in my sig.

The manifold is crap, don't do it. The o2 housing is worth 10-15whp though

Both. You will lose low end power and the thing cracks!

I never owned SS Autochrome's O2 housing, but I have owned the SS Autochrome exhaust manifold. I had it on my car for almost 40,000 miles and other than an initial crack that was quickly welded, the header held up like a champ AND I definitely made horsepower gains with it. You may lose some low end power, but like everything else in life there's tradeoffs.

There are more-effective replacements to make first, depending on your budget...If you don't have much money to spend, I'd recommend a LICP...If you have a little more, I'd recommend camshafts...If you want a tubular header, Megan is cheap and descent (although not my favorite option)...But the SS Autochrome stuff is hit or miss: they had descent gains but I have seen ones that were nothing like the original product and defective before even installing, and certainly nothing like the picture on eBay...Basically, they made their name in the beginning with a descent product (especially the o2 housing), but they aren't the quality they once were...Also, keep a re-tune in mind for your budget should you decide to go with something like camshafts...

dp the O2, in trms of manifolds go with full race or get the ported buschur one, get good gains with both, one is just more stealth. cams are another good idea too, try revolver i love mine really wake the car up

I know people who have used the SS Autochrome on several different cars and sadly the manifolds tend to crack more times than they dont. From the ones that I have seen before install, they look nice but I think it is just to thin of a material or the welds are not strong enough.

FWIW, I used the ss autochrome and O2 housing with an EVO8 TME turbo for ~25k miles. I had no issues. Car ran 118 mph traps on pump fuel, so it wasn't exactly hurting.

Just my experience.
