Car overheating Slightly!

The car overheated on me 3 times in the last couple of days. The first time is when I went inside to autozone for a couple of min, and came back in the car with the temp more than 3/4. I drove around for a bit and it went back down. and today, while I was at the train tracks, it went above the mid temp. I had my laptop, and found out it hit 226 degrees.
I did some searching, and malibujack said to turn on the AC, which should trigger the AC fan. Well it didn’t. does the AC fan sometimes trigger as a secondary cooling fan? Should it always turn on when the AC compressor is triggered?
I have a 14" slim fan and it seems to work fine.

How much H2O and how much antifreeze %? Too high a concentration of antifreeze will cause over heating it's the water in the mix that moves the heat away. Does the fan run when it's that hot? When does the fan kick in? Fan should not run just because the key in in the on position.

Check the switches, either the cables are loose or just need replacement fan control switches. It sounds like you need to replace the temp sensor switch for both fans.

Check the thermo as well. Wiring to fans and fuses. There is 2 fuse boxes... underhood and under drivers underdash.

Definately recommend flush and refill... could be the culprit.

guys, the problem i am having is an electrical problem.
i hope someone can answer my specific questions
does the AC fan sometimes trigger as a secondary cooling fan?
Should it always turn on when the AC compressor is triggered?
also, my rad fan only turns one when the engine is running. Should it turn on at other times?
