Pauters are probably the strongest, but you can't really go wrong with Pauters, Carillos, Crowers, Mangus...you get the picture

I have a set of Olivers to go into the car however there not the same as the ams ones which run 1g bearings. I am just a little worried they wont be up to the job.
Anyone know where I can get some Carillo rods?

In this order:

1. Carillo H Beam Billets
2. Manley Turbo Tuff (not the regular hbeams)
3. Pauter X beam
4. Crower I beam
5. Oliver

Now for daily drivers you can get away with Eagle H Beams. But you asked for the best

Sponsored racers run whatever their sponsors provide or want to sell.

Buschur builds their shortblocks with Crowers. Haven't heard much in the way of failures there, have you?

The truth is that all the major manufacturers of forged rods have pretty good track records. After you get into that range, it's personal preference and what is available when you're starting your build, unless you're expecting to build an 800+ HP motor. You can count those on your fingers and toes, so for the vast majority of us, the "usual" high quality forged rods are sufficient. I'd not include Eagles in that category, though.

Olivers, no problem.
