Car Alarm Malfunction
OK I know this doesnt have to do with the evo, but i figured what the hell. I just bought a new Evolution, and i will be selling an old 95 honda civic ex soon. The civics battery recently died, so i had my friend come and jump start it. The thing is
, after we jumped it, the automatic door locks died, and the alarm will not work now. As for the car that jumped me, the radio just plain died and doesnt work, but everything else is fine. I have checked all of the fuses and they all are fine. The alarm is also some no name brand that i havent heard of before, called Vesco. I have jumped my cars in the past and i have never had this happen. Perhaps my friend hooked the cables up incorrectly
, but i dont know why he would have done that. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong or what may have happened?

I can't say what happened really, but if he hooked up the cables wrong, you wouldn't have been able to jump it. Hooking them up wrong usually makes lots of sparks, small explosions at the extreme, but it certainly won't start the car.

Hey thanks guys, i just went and rechecked the fuses under the hood. I took out the IG fuse and replaced it and it set the alarm off, and now everything works. It didnt do that the first time i checked it. Weird.......
