Recirculatory BOV only. Venting to atmosphere is for use with standalone EMS like the AEM. Forge is good choice but if you only plan to run 21-24psi, the IX BOV is better because its cheaper and will hold the boost.

the forge rs will hold up to 30psi...the tial will hold even more, everyone will argue about the tial vta, but it really doesnt effect our cars to a noticable problem, you will run rich in between shifts for .002 seconds

Stick with the recirc valves, the only time my VTA valve worked correctly is when i intalled the AEM EMS. IT wont hurt the car bad, just a little bit in partial throttle drivability.

Edit* and if you do decide to get a VTA valve, make sure that you get the idle tables from a '05+ ecu and upload that via ECU flash

The hks leaks at an idle. What do you think happens at full boost. Theres a good chance that it pisses boost like a drunk guy on a friday night at 1 in the morning. That was really lame, I know.

There is a loss of driveability with the Tial on non-EMS cars. How do I know? I have the Tial and the stock ECU. If I did it over again, I would get the Forge. I had the EVO IX stocker, however I am running 30psi now and that would not suffice.

To use the Tial with the stock ECU, you must use the stiffer springs (11-12psi) which makes driveability a little crappy at times, most noteably on the highway.

i am using the tial on stock ecu as well, and have no problem with drivability, im not even sure wat spring is in it, i didnt get an option

All i know is that i thought drivability wasn't bad on the stock ecu with the tial until i got the AEM. My car now drives like it did off the showroon floor, its unreal the difference...
I would still VTA if i had the stock ecu but really the only right way to do it is to ditch the stock maf.

I believe they put 11psi springs in them if you just order a Tial. Im not saying there are actual problems, but what I am saying is that the driveability would be better with a stock like recirculation BOV like the IX one.

There is no reason for someone running 21psi up to 26psi to have any BOV other than the IX one. Anything more would be overkill. If you PLAN on running serious boost in the future, I could see that. Otherwise, the IX is the best.

Yea i think im going to try and find a stock IX bov cause im only running 21 right now and most likely wont go higher than 25psi. Anyone know of someone selling one?

Good choice.

ON a side note regarding backfire, I was messing around with a GT3076R meth'd EVO IX tonight and after the 2nd run, I shot out a 4 foot TALL flame that lit my back bumper on fire partially. I have boils on the paint. Believe that.

I always hear everyone say the stocker dv is great and all. I love the overall smooth drivability of it, but I definitely noticed a difference when I swapped to my agency power bpv. It's 100% recirculated, but when wot, when I shift I can really feel a difference in how it holds boost harder. Sorry a little OT.
