I just switched from a greddy profec ll b to a Hallman and my spool is so much quicker, i would say almost 500rpm quicker. Go with a manual, hallman with the rx kit then you can mount in in the cabin.

Then you had no idea how to set your profec up

I got the profec b and I love it. Quick spool and no boost drop.

That AEM Tru boost is sweet.I like the "killing two birds with one stone" idea.

There are more than one boost controller that allows you to compensate for taper. Of course you won't be able to completely eliminate it, but I had the stock turbo running 22psi from 3500-8000rpms. We saw nearly a 30whp gain on pump gas by having the stock turbo hold 22psi rather than tapering off to a normal 18-19.

I had a mbc, but I got tired of having to readjust it everytime I'd add a mod. With my ebc it's pretty much dead on no matter what mods i add. Plus my mbc had a tendency to go haywire and spike whenever it got colder.

do you have to compensate for weather differences often with an ebc? i have read that you have to change an mbc with different weather conditions often.

If you want to maintain a specific boost target, yes you have to adjust it depending on weather conditions. The ebc's are acitve controllers and regulate by themselves. If properly set up, I don't think the ebc's can be matched.

Does a ebc spike like a manual would?? If not don't you think trq would be a little less because there is no spike...

Spikes are semi-dangerous and not optimal. So yeah, peak torque will be lower, but total torque could be higher (read: no taper).
