this is what i understand.
currently, I do not have a catch can. the other day, i cleaned out my mas sensor, and looked into the inlet pipe, and there was dirt and sludge. at first i was worried, then was told that it is normal for evo's- and that a catch can will help.

I have further researched that the dc3 catch can works better, because of "baffles" that prevent the vaporized oil from bypassing the catch can. I have also heard that because our cars boost at such a high psi for a stock vehicle, that regular catch cans w/o the baffles do not catch as much stuff.

so now i am looking for a vendor that sells these highly touted dc3's.

ye well it all depends on the catch can !

The DC3 actually has Stainless mesh inside which actualt prevents and catches the oil
Acts like a trap, very few catch cans have the DC3 design wich traps the vapour.
